Declaration of consent for participation in the so-called “Talente-Letter” of the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg job exchange

The Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) offers the following service as part of the Job Portal:

The so-called “Talente-Letter” supports the transition structures from studying to working life.

In order to participate in the “Talente-Letter”, you as a user (hereinafter also referred to as student/alumni) must first create a profile in the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg Job Portal. Relevant CV data is collected in the profile.

As soon as the profile of the student/alumni matches the search profile of an employer, the employer receives an e-mail (the “Talente-Letter”) with the information that there has been a match. Employers will then see

  • the desired position (mandatory information)
  • the degree program (mandatory information)
  • the semester (mandatory information) and
  • the German level (mandatory information).

As soon as the employers log into the BTU job portal, they will see the short profile of the matched student/alumni. In addition to the points mentioned above, this includes

  • relevant dates of study
  • relevant work experience
  • relevant skills and abilities. 

This information is provided voluntarily by the user.

Employers can then send a contact request. As soon as the student/alumni accepts this contact request, the employer is given access to the student/alumni's overall profile. This includes:

  • The above-mentioned points
  • Contact details
  • Voluntarily uploaded CV and certificates
  • Voluntary links
  • Voluntary photo.

You hereby voluntarily declare your willingness to participate in the aforementioned “Talente-Letter” and agree that BTU and its processor may process and evaluate my personal data, images and other recordings, documents produced or handed over by me for the “Talente-Letter” and share them with external companies and organizations.

You are aware that you will not receive any remuneration for participating in the “Talente-Letter”, using the results and publishing them.

Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time without giving reasons. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. The easiest way to revoke your consent is to delete individual data or the entire profile or to contact the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg, Career Center and Dual Studies Office, by post at Platz der Deutschen Einheit 1, by e-mail at careercenter@b-tu.de.
